If you saw last week’s vlog I made Ube puto seco cookies. I confess! I’ve been on an ube kick…and matcha!

Ingredients:

1 cup of soften butter

3/4 of a cup of sugar

1 egg yolk, lightly beaten

3 tbs of ube extract

2 1/2 cups of flour

1/2 teaspoon of salt

White chocolate chips( optional/amount added based on own preference)

3 tbs of Matcha (for the matcha cookies and not photographed)

Cookie cutter

Recipe:

*Preheat the oven to 375 degrees*

1.)Mix all dry ingredients together.

2.) Add the butter.

3.) Pour the egg yolk and combine with wooden spoon.

4.) Slowly add the ube and begin kneading the dough. **I suggest to wear non-latex gloves when kneading**

5.) Once the dough is a solid purple color add the white chocolate chips. This is optional.

6.)Roll out the dough use to the cookie cutter to make the cookies in different shapes.

7.) Place cookies on a greased cookie sheet.

8.)*Repeat these steps for the Matcha cookies. Instead of adding a ube, add the three tablespoons of matcha with the dry ingredients.

  1. ) Bake for 12–15 minutes and enjoy!
